Our story: fighting for Jr.'s future
At Fighting 4 Jr., our mission is deeply personal. We're fighting to bring our 8-year-old son, Jr., back home after a wrongful removal by child services in 2021. His story is why we exist, and it fuels our determination to ensure justice and safety for him and other families.

Why fighting 4 jr. began: a mother's plea
In 2021, the Arkansas Department of Human Services (DHS) removed my son, Jr., from my home and placed him with his biological father's oldest son and his wife, despite my serious warnings. The court papers cited "neglect" as the reason for his removal. However, the caseworker assigned to the 2021 case later admitted to me, "It had nothing to do with neglect. We removed Jr. because you kept refusing to sign guardianship of the twins over and because you said you didn't trust them." DHS used the legal term of neglect to justify their actions in court, but they were, in fact, using Jr. to coerce me into signing over my twins. When I refused, they took my son.
The situation escalated tragically. In August 2024, Jr. was rushed to Arkansas Children's Hospital after suffering a seizure and becoming unresponsive. The doctor reported to the hotline that my son's sodium levels were fatally low and life-threatening, attributing the cause to starvation. She also noted that my son had...

Where is jr. now? an uncertain journey
Since 2021, the journey to find Jr. has been agonizing and filled with obstacles. Currently, I don't know where my son is or if he is okay. The Child Welfare Ombudsman informed me she could not find any records for my son, and the Area Director for DHS stated my parental rights were terminated. The ombudsman then referred me to a lawyer who also confirmed he could not find any court records for Jr.
This lack of information and accountability is why Fighting 4 Jr. is so critical. We are striving to locate Jr., verify his safety, and ultimately reunite him with his family. The legal system is complex and expensive, but we believe in justice for Jr.

Our urgent need: legal representation for jr.
To navigate this broken system and fight for Jr.'s return, we desperately need legal representation. I am actively trying to raise money to cover the legal costs. We have found a lawyer, Turner & Rasch Attorneys at Law, who is willing to take donations directly. Their expertise is crucial in challenging the wrongful termination of rights and uncovering the truth about Jr.'s whereabouts and well-being.
Every day without Jr. is one day too long. Your support can make a tangible difference in bringing him home and holding the system accountable for its failures. Join us in this vital fight for justice.
